Adopting Roxy!

We can adopt Roxy and I love her. She does not need any more surgeries. I am excited she was cleared!

Book Review

Two Bobbies: a true story of Hurricane Katrina's friendship and survival. A book review by Ethan.

Tonight we read the story Two Bobbies. It was about a cat and a dog during Hurricane Katrina. Pets got left behind and many died. Bobbi the dog and Bob Cat a cat survived the hurricane and found food by themselves. Someone brought them to a shelter. No one adopted them and the shelter was closing. They may put them on a t_v show and they were adopted by someone in oregon. This book made me feel sad because they left cats and dogs behind. It made me cry to think about me losing my pets.  People should have a plan for losing their pets if there were a storm. By Ethan

Turtles

We caught one middle sized turtle. And only one. It was a boy. We know because we looked. If it has two dots it is a girl. If it has no dots, it is a boy. One of Ethan's friends told us that. We use kayaks in the swamp instead of swimming.

Today we went swimming and went in the paddle boat cause we didn't swim in the icky water. We used a kayak to go in the middle of the lake and swim.

Questions for Ethan

Ethan is having a hard time picking a writing topic. Please post any questions here about things you are wondering. He spends most of his days on a kayak searching for turtles, fishing, playing basketball or swimming. He would love to answer your questions!

This is a special place for Ethan and Lucie to write about their summer adventures. We are working hard on encouraging them to write and read all summer long and to realize that both are fun things to do. Please respond to them!  They are looking forward to comments from family and friends!

As most of you know, we spend a majority of our summer at a lake up in northern Minnesota. They have a lot of adventures up here!
